Our Story
Statement Graze was launched in October 2025 in Baltimore, MD by owner Sarah Sepulveda.
Our mission is to make hosting large-scale events simple, engaging, and memorable for the Baltimore community through our excellent spreads.
Sarah comes from an Irish and Italian-American family and grew up with a truly nostalgic food culture. Her mother was a baker. Her father, aunts, and grandmothers always had something simmering in the kitchen.
Sarah spent her teenage years in the performing arts scene in New York City, where she made incredible friends and fell in love with vibrant city culture.
Shortly after college, Sarah went home to spend a year with family and save up money before her wedding day. During that year she got a job at a small wine and cheese shop that was owned by lively retired couple. There they taught her their wealth of knowledge about every single cheese you could imagine. She spent her days tasting every cheese in the case, learning it’s origin, taking test after test, learning how to care for each cheese, proper pairings, and most of all that “food is always better shared”. In that little shop she fell even more in love with the art of food.
Sarah has worked for the past 15 years as an Events Director, in Non-Profit, and Higher Education. She can be found currently creating memorable events as an Associate Director for the Maryland Institute College of Art, or cooking meals at home with her favorite crew- her husband and three children.
Sarah’s love for the art of food has no doubt gained inspiration by travels to Paris, Italy, and many food destinations. However, Sarah encourages everyone to “make life beautiful where you are”.
